LAVERDA O. ALLEN SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
The LaVerda O. Allen Scholarship Program honors Ms. Allen’s legacy as a leader and passionate change agent in her community.
With more than 40 years of experience in the engineering-construction industry, Ms. Allen has become a pillar of the Black community in the Bay Area, a leader in the development of minority-, woman-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprise (M/W/DBE) programs and has co-authored the country’s first Affirmative Action program that called for minority participation by craft.
